monitor calibration
The images on this site have been optimized on a monitor calibrated to the standard PC gamma of 2.2. For best results, your monitor should be adjusted so that you can differentiate slight differences between the three lightest patches on the left and the three darkest patches on the right.

To adjust your monitor:
- Increase your monitor's contrast to it's maximum setting.
- Adjust your monitor's brightness until you can just differentiate between the three darkest patches.
- Reduce the contrast until you can just differentiate between the three lightest patches.
- Because the contrast and brightness controls interact with each other, it may be necessary to repeat step 2.
For those of you using older flat panel (LCD) monitors, it may not be possible to adjust your monitor to differentiate between all three of the lightest patches.
